Military Family Pride

“That which causes us trials shall yield us triumph: and that which make our hearts ache shall fill us with gladness. The only true happiness is to learn, to advance, and to improve: which could not happen unless we had commence with error, ignorance, and imperfection. We must pass through the darkness, to reach the light.” -Albert Pike

It is always an honor to photograph a Military Family, but it is also a pull at my heart strings, because I know these images are in that picture frame that sits by her bed that she looks at every night before she goes to sleep, or holds tightly as she cries for him to come home.  I know that these could be the images taped to the inside of his helmet or are old and worn from being in his back pocket, looked at over and over again, rubbed blank in spots before he goes out on patrol. For that I always try very hard to capture the in between moments of a family enjoying a moment of joy untainted by the upcoming deployment.

But there is nothing to be MORE prouder of then a man willing to sacrifice his life to keep us free, to keep his country safe and the women, his wife who keeps life normal here and supports her husband 120%.

Thank you for what you are both doing....

Creatively,
Jenn
